Skybus in St Augustine, FL

Making air travel "single again" was one of the issues that I came immediately to today's ribbon cutting ceremony for Skybus Airlines at the St. Johns County Airport in St. Augustine, Florida. It was an inauguration ceremony for the first commercial air terminal. Skybus launched commercial flights to St. Augustine on 18 July 2007. The service is between Columbus, Ohio, and St. Augustine.

When I had my first flight at age 16, I remember go out to a tarmac to fly an airplane at LaGuardia Airport in New York on board directly to North Carolina with my father. It was an exciting time and I remember walking to the aircraft. It looked so big! The pillars of the plane (there were only very few jets back in the 60 years) sparkled in the sun. It filled meto know with amazement how this plane would ever be on their feet. The smell of jet fuel was overwhelming and the stewardesses 2 (at that time they were all female) greeted me with her smile and reassuring words.

Fast forward to today, it was a "Back to the Future" experience secure. The simplicity of the journey from point A to point B is just what the doctor ordered stress in my life. No longer do I have to Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Orlando, or go get a directFlight home. Call me selfish, but there are hundreds of people Accession me in this happy experience from the mid-west. At least four of my personal friends have flown on SKYBUS Airlines roundtrip already. Overwhelmingly they applauded the experience claiming it was the best flight experience they have ever had!! Now that is a testimony many other Airlines would not be desirable.

The air terminal for Skybus nearly 12,000 square feet. It had been in a "made 54 days" at a cost of about 1.6 million. The agreement between Skybus and the St. Augustine Airport Authority is to the terminal by another airline will be used if there is another commercial airline that wants to fly to St. Augustine.

St. Johns County benefit from the Skybus service revenue from gasoline consumption, parking, concessions and car rental and leasing fees. It will be a boon to the economy of St. Augustine, adding to the tourism industry. And for me in Real Estate, well, I hope the focus will be on St. Augustine and St. Johns County, as a wonderful place to live very well.

When I checked, are still $ 40 one way in January, February and March in Florida. The $ 80 round trip ... Not bad for aHoliday or for the snow birds who now have an easy, simple, reduced cost way of flying. You can bet they will not survive long after this article, I posted!
